Below is a map of simple churches and simple church startups that we have a connection with and who have a desire to be listed here. I’ve tried to include a brief description of each and their contact information. Since the date, time, and location of simple church gatherings can vary from week to week (flexibility is one of the blessings of simple church!), you will want to contact the leaders prior to visiting. You may need to zoom in or out on the map to see all the simple churches. Click on the icon to find out more information and to email a member of the community. Also many times simple churches opt to not be listed on this directory so feel free to reach out to us and inquire about any simple churches that may not be listed here.
Find the following locations in the map above (Updated August 2, 2022): If you have any questions concerning any of these simple churches or you encounter trouble connecting with the folks, please let Gavin Duerson know.

I would like potential HC seekers to know we exist. Ellicott City, Maryland HC meets every Sunday and most Wednesday’s. Full meal, participatory services, kids and adults. Hosted by Mat and Camisha Borger.
Hi Mat and Camisha!!!
You and your family were on my heart and I just decided to kinda look for you all via Google. This is Crystal of the Bises’ from several years ago. We were in your California small group, bible talk in the South Bay congregation of L A CC. We have since moved on from there. Lots has changed since then. Just wanted to say hi and Blessings now from Arizona. I pray all is well. Been here 5 years.
Crystal. I’m sorry, but I am not sure that Mat and Camisha will see this message. I pray that you are doing well in Arizona!
Hi, Gavin, I enjoyed reading these postings. Please read what I wrote below to Crystal, in case you know how I can get in touch with her. Thanks!

Hi Crystal, I just now read your email tonight as I was researching updates on Wolfgang Simson (author of “Simple Church” book). I was reared in Manhattan Beach CA, spent my life in missions, am now age 76, temporarily living in Minnesota. I am praying- where next do I fit in the Body of Christ? I have considered moving to Arizona because the climate is similar to my beloved Southern Calif. I am only here in the frigid north because financially I could no longer afford L.A. housing, & never found people of like-precious-faith – a ‘simple church’ community. I returned to L.A. after 22 yrs’ missions in New Zealand & Australia. So, Blessings to you as you advance in your part of Heavenly Father’s Kingdom! Sincerely, Frances Shive, fshive@mac.com
