Fall Network Gatherings

Usually in the fall we host a network celebration gathering for all the simple churches to come together. This fall, we are going to do it a bit different… we will have three! The Wheelers would like to welcome everyone throughout this loose knit network of simple churches to join them and friends for food fellowship and prayer on the following Sunday evenings this fall. Summer Celebration Gathering – August 17

Sunday, August 17 // 5-9PM // Bluegrass Christian Camp, Athens KY // 7463 Athens Boonesboro Rd, Lexington, Kentucky 40509 The Simple Church Alliance is a network or “alliance” of people following Jesus outside the traditional “church” path.  Simple churches are small, reproducible families of faith who get together weekly in homes, parks, and cafes to have a meal with Jesus and encourage one another.  Four to five times a year we invite those involved in simple churches along with their friends and neighbors to come together larger family of people involved in simple church communities across the region. Fall Celebration – Oct 21st

This fall, join others involved in simple/organic/house church ministry as we come together to worship our savior around a campfire at Bluegrass Christian Camp!  On October 21 at 5pm, the Simple Church Alliance will host a celebration gathering with a fall flavor.  Come out to the Bluegrass Christian Camp and enjoy fellowship, hiking, roasting marshmallows, playing outdoor games and a time of worship around the campfire with others involved in organic church ministry from the region.  Everyone is welcome!  Bring a friend and let’s be encouraged by all that God is doing throughout the city and beyond! Simple Church Camp Out! (March 23-24)

Brice Burton in Somerset and Chris Phebus here in Lexington are going to head up a camping trip for simple church folks and their friends.   The camp out will take place near Somerset in the Daniel Boon National Forest.  You will be able to drive a car to the site.  We’ll have some mild hiking opportunities, caving, repelling, and there is a nice waterfall as well!  You can come for one night or two.  Tons of fun for whole family!!!  Contact Chris at Chris@phebusphotography.com to get signed up and included on all the details.
