In my last article, I shared my thoughts on the Great Commandment and why the new commandment Jesus left with his followers prior to going to the cross is a better foundation for the Church.  Today I would like to share with you a short video that explains simple church visually in light of this new commandment foundation.  Hopefully this visual can be a tool you can replicate on a napkin or piece of paper when sharing the idea of simple church with friends and family. Good Friday Network Gathering

We will host a Good Friday worship and reflection gathering at the Prayer Room on Broadway in Lexington KY on Good Friday (April 10) at 7 pm! This time will feature worship and easter reflections from various simple church friends from the region.  We hope you and your family can make plans to celebrate Easter with us during this special simple church network gathering.  Light refreshments will be available.  If you desire to participate by sharing a scripture reading, song, poem, please let us know or just come prepared to share.  This is a great opportunity to bring friends and family as we celebrate together!   Good Friday Celebration Gathering – Hosted by the Simple Church Alliance 7pm // April 10, 2020 Lexington Prayer Room – 1218 S Broadway, Lexington, KY 40504 RSVP here

Simple Church Network Christmas Gathering

Friends! You are invited to come together with others in simple church families across the region for a special Christmas network gathering!  We will enjoy a meal, Christmas music, poetry, a reading of the Christmas story, and encouragement from one another! Sunday, December 15 10 am-Noon 3060 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington KY 40503 (Simple Church Office @ First Southern National Bank) Meal Please consider bringing a dish!   Like most simple church gatherings, this will be a potluck.  Drinks, napkins, plates and etc. will be provided.
