Hello friends!
The registration deadline for our annual Simple Church Retreat is less than two weeks away (August 28). I wanted to send a note to make sure everyone who would like to come has a chance to sign up.
If you have never attended before, you can expect top-notch accommodations and a restful time with others involved in simple, organic, and house-church fellowships. Our time together is designed to foster relationships and provide opportunities to bring questions and share input about what walking with Jesus alongside your family and friends can look like outside more typical church structures.
As I have reflected on the past 15 years that we have been part of Simple Church—hard to believe it has been that long!—I’ve considered some of the important lessons the Lord has taught me about Himself, His Church, and His mission. I look forward to engaging together around these ideas, and I invite everyone attending to consider similar questions and bring insights to share.
We would love for you to join us—and you are welcome to come Friday night as well. A few people usually arrive early for dinner at the Bluebird on Friday evening. If you are interested, please sign up for the retreat and then email me to let me know you would like to come Friday night too. I’ll follow up with the arrangements.
