More Than A Meeting. Our 3rd Annual Simple Church Conference will focus on simple churches experiencing “more than a meeting.” Expect a lot of hands on exercises that will be excellent for anyone considering simple church and for those already involved. Workshops and sessions will be facilitated by regional simple church network leaders and will focus on a variety of issues including discipleship, world mission involvement, missional engagement, and other issues that will hopefully help your simple church to “be the church” 24-7–not just when you gather. We hope that you will bring a variety of topics as well and that no one will leave without concerns and questions being addressed.

This year we especially want to encourage you to attend with others in your simple church. Hope to be starting a new simple church soon? Consider inviting another individual or a couple that could possibly join you as you begin the journey! This year’s conference will be an excellent time to grow, pray, and work through important issues together. Even if you are unable to persuade a friend to join you, this conference will have a lot to offer as we hope to link newcomers wither real people who will be committed to walking with you over the course of the year as you begin simple church!

The Asbury Inn at Asbury Seminary (1 June Ryan Circle, Wilmore, KY.) is full service hotel that will serve as a great get-a-way for you and/or your spouse. We highly encourage everyone, even locals, to consider staying overnight in order to get the full “retreat” experience and allow for minimal distractions as you digest the ideas alongside of your friends and simple church family. Please note that some participants may be staying in a “townhome” style apartment with other couples from the conference. If you would prefer this arrangement, perhaps with other couples traveling in your party, please let us know when you register.
