Most of my life I have enjoyed satire. Satire will often seek to approve of or accept as normal ideas that the satirist is actually seeking to attack. Such is the case in this goofy song that applies attractional, hierarchical, personality driven, pulpit centered, church growth, clergy/laity ideas to simple/house/organic church ministry.

Friday December 9th will be the only Simple Church Training of this month and I thought it would be good for us to discuss “simple church membership.” As we continue to see new people visit the simple churches in the network and as we move toward becoming a self-sustaining network, questions about church membership are sure to arise. Hello friends! I hope this finds you well! I continue to hear from many who were unable to come to the “Vision for Being The Church” class and have a desire to know more about what we are doing. Indeed there are many families here at First Alliance Church (FAC) who are unaware of exactly what we are doing and why we are doing it. Therefore, I have reserved the new Founders Dinning Room at FAC for December 5th and January 9th to have a church plant preview luncheon.
