Hello friends! I wanted to just post a quick update of sorts here! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and spring is off to a great start for you! On to the updates…
House Church For Beginners Breakfast.
The Beginner Breakfast reminded us that offering availability to others can form new relationships and offer connection with longtime friends. While not a large group by any means, I was encouraged by our breakfast. Hosting a gathering like this can be a great way to open the door to simple/house church folks. Perhaps we could host such a breakfast in your town? I’d love to help!
Good Friday Gathering
Thanks to all the folks who came out! Simple church communities from Midway, Bardstown, Lexington, Morehead, and Georgetown gathered to celebrate Good Friday at the Lexington Prayer Room.
Skate Camp
Thank for all the prayers for skate camp. God was definitely at work. We had a few injuries but everyone seems to be recovering well. In addition, we saw several campers and leaders take steps of faith in their relationship with Jesus. Keep these campers and at the skate church in your prayers as we seek the next steps for the summer. We hope to be sending several kids back to Camp Royal this summer for another week of camp.
Yard Signs
We have distributed these in the past and some people found them to be great conversation starters with neighbors. Well…we got em back! If you are interested shoot me a message and I’ll get you one!
Ride Nature
I was blessed by time spent with fellow board members with the Ride Nature ministry. We discussed opportunities for church planting here and abroad where they are sharing the Gospel through action sports. Simple/house church concepts offer reproducible ways to live in the Kingdom and do the work of the church that can be easily replicated across the globe! Already a church family in Nicaragua was organically born by people sharing the Gospel through surfing and skating. Adventure Serve
Lastly, I wanted to share a bit about Adventure Serve. This ministry is based out of Wilmore, KY, and led by the Burton family, who attend our simple church gathering. Are you looking for opportunities for adventure and service? Then you, your kids, simple church, and family may enjoy partnering with this unique ministry. Day camps, overnight backcountry camps, service projects, and retreats are some of the services Adventure Serve provides. I’m super encouraged by how Brice is facilitating these experiences to empower others to be the church! Learn more here: www.adventureserve.org
