Update: Network Gathering Sept 29 / Retreat deadline / more…

Fall Network Gathering

On Sunday, September 29th at 11 AM we will have a fall network gathering for all simple church friends!  Come together for a bring-your-own picnic lunch at Camp Kearney in the back of Jacobson Park in Lexington!  Note that some picnic tables are available.  We do have indoor space if the weather doesn’t cooperate.  Please take this opportunity to bring a frisbee, a football, or anything you and your kids might enjoy doing outside (Bikes? Fishing poles? hammock?). Perhaps this could be a great way to introduce a friend to simple church? We will pull folks together for a time of testimonies and worship at the beginning before we break out our lunches.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  RSVPs are always welcome as well (email here).   This spot is fairly close to I-75 so hopefully this helps some of our out-of-town folks.

Location: 4001 Athens Boonesboro Rd, Lexington, KY 40509

A great time with some great dudes!

Recently I had a great time with several men from simple churches around the region connecting and praying for each other.  I was super encouraged by this time out at Adventure Serve Ministries and how God answered my prayer for transparency and encouragement.

Welcome Back Roberts Family – Skate Church

The Roberts family are back in town and diving into the skate church ministry in Lexington.  It’s been super cool to see the fruit already from their return.  Josh has hit the ground running and it’s super exciting.  However, the move has not been without its challenges. Let’s keep the WHOLE Roberts family in our prayers as they transition back home from Florida.  Learn more here and at @lexingtonskatechurch

Prayer Requests

*Walking with a few folks who could need miraculous breakthroughs in very difficult situations.
*Wylie is currently battling sickness.  Praying for sleep and rest…especially for Karla who ends up shouldering most of her care.
*Releasing some new music next week and praying these comedic songs bring fun, laughter, and encouragement to families.
