Merry Christmas!

My heart is still full from our time together at the Christmas network gathering on Sunday! I’m so grateful for everyone who was able to come and share such a rich time of prayer, worship, and fellowship with others in simple church communities from the area! I know many who expressed a great desire be there to connect with others but were unable to attend. Please know that we are praying that you are encouraged in your faith and comforted by the Holy Spirit. You are not alone in this journey, which can often feel discouraging at times. Christmas Network Gathering Dec 17

We will host a network Christmas gathering for all friends of Simple Church Alliance on Sunday, December 17 at 10am.  This will be a potluck meal and time of encouragement and Christmas music.  We hope that this can be a great way for us all to connect over the busy Christmas season.  We do ask that everyone please RSVP and let me know if you would like to bring a side dish or dessert by Sunday Dec. 10.  We will provide meat and beverages.  If you are a part of a simple church community and would like to rsvp for your whole group that would be great.  If not, then just let me know directly.  Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all! Christmas Gathering This Sunday

Friends, This Sunday we would like to invite all friends of simple / house church in the region to join us for a special Christmas Gathering.  We will enjoy fellowship, Christmas music, and a lunch together.  If you have a song, story, scripture, poem, etc, to share related Christmas come prepared to share it! I will provide meat and drinks and everyone is invited to bring a side or dessert if they come.  Please RSVP with me here and we will look forward to celebrating the birth of Christ together this Sunday! Network Christmas Gathering December 12th

Friends and family, December 12, 11AM – 1:30pm we will host a Network Christmas Gathering for all friends, family, of simple church!  We’d love to see longtime friends reunite as well if possible! We will enjoy Christmas music, fellowship, a meal, and encouragement. We will plan to meet at First Southern Bank in Lexington. RSVP required by DEC 6th in case we need to change venues. This will be a Potluck meal. Meat, drinks, and utensils will be provided. You can let us know what you would bring upon RSVP. Spread the word and please feel free to invite friends and family. We all know it’s important to meet together often as believers for our mutual encouragement. This is true and good. What’s not necessarily true and good, is that many of us equate this with Sunday worship service.

Good Friday Network Gathering

We will host a Good Friday worship and reflection gathering at the Prayer Room on Broadway in Lexington KY on Good Friday (April 10) at 7 pm! Our simple church has settled into meeting on Sunday mornings and I’ve grown to enjoy it.  I have thought of six reasons I would encourage other simple churches to gather on Sunday mornings as well. Certainly there is not hard rule about when folks should meet and most every group will settle on times and locations for a host of reasons. We want to invite all simple churches, their friends, and family throughout the region to come together this Easter Sunday morning (April 1st) for a time of worship and testimony! We are going to pack out The Prayer Room on Broadway for a lively morning of singing and stories of new life followed by a lunch at First Southern Bank Community Room for any and all who can join us!
