Merry Christmas!

My heart is still full from our time together at the Christmas network gathering on Sunday! I’m so grateful for everyone who was able to come and share such a rich time of prayer, worship, and fellowship with others in simple church communities from the area! I know many who expressed a great desire be there to connect with others but were unable to attend. Please know that we are praying that you are encouraged in your faith and comforted by the Holy Spirit. You are not alone in this journey, which can often feel discouraging at times. Update: Network Gathering Sept 29 / Retreat deadline / more…

Fall Network Gathering   On Sunday, September 29th at 11 AM we will have a fall network gathering for all simple church friends!  Come together for a bring-your-own picnic lunch at Camp Kearney in the back of Jacobson Park in Lexington!  Note that some picnic tables are available.  We do have indoor space if the weather doesn’t cooperate.  Please take this opportunity to bring a frisbee, a football, or anything you and your kids might enjoy doing outside (Bikes? Fishing poles? hammock?). Perhaps this could be a great way to introduce a friend to simple church? Christmas Network Gathering Dec 17

We will host a network Christmas gathering for all friends of Simple Church Alliance on Sunday, December 17 at 10am.  This will be a potluck meal and time of encouragement and Christmas music.  We hope that this can be a great way for us all to connect over the busy Christmas season.  We do ask that everyone please RSVP and let me know if you would like to bring a side dish or dessert by Sunday Dec. 10.  We will provide meat and beverages.  If you are a part of a simple church community and would like to rsvp for your whole group that would be great.  If not, then just let me know directly.  Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all! Good Friday Worship and Communion Network Gathering

Friends, We would like to invite all simple and house church friends to come together for a special Good Friday worship and communion gathering at the Lexington Prayer Room on Broadway located at 1218 S Broadway, Lexington, KY 40504.  Several folks from area simple churches will lead us in a time of worship through song.  If you you have a song, poem, or reading that you would like to share, please come prepared to do so as well! Christmas Gathering – A BIG Thanks!

A big “thank you” goes out to all who made it to Lexington for the Simple Church Alliance Christmas Gathering!  It is always exciting to see friends from simple churches throughout the state of Kentucky to come together and to meet new folks interested in house church! Christmas Gathering This Sunday

House Church Connection Dinner – Sun, Nov 6

UPDATE: Location moved to the Duerson’s home. Let’s connect! – Sunday November 6th! House church (or what also can be referred to as “organic church” or “simple church”) communities are springing up all around. We’d love to provide a time for fellowship, prayer, and encouragement for these communities in the area! In addition, we always want to give people in house church an opportunity to connect with others on a similar path. Network Christmas Gathering December 12th

Friends and family, December 12, 11AM – 1:30pm we will host a Network Christmas Gathering for all friends, family, of simple church!  We’d love to see longtime friends reunite as well if possible! We will enjoy Christmas music, fellowship, a meal, and encouragement. We will plan to meet at First Southern Bank in Lexington. RSVP required by DEC 6th in case we need to change venues. This will be a Potluck meal. Meat, drinks, and utensils will be provided. You can let us know what you would bring upon RSVP. Spread the word and please feel free to invite friends and family. Spring Network Gathering – April 10

UPDATE: We are good Saturday… Rain or Shine!  If rain, we will be in the large “tabernacle” on there grounds with plenty of space to spread out to your comfort level.  Plus putt putt will be indoors too!   Simple Church Friends, The Saturday after Easter (April 10th) we will host a Spring Network Gathering at Adventure Serve in Wilmore, KY!  We will be outside in their amphitheater and enjoy music, prayer, and and time of encouragement.  Also, Adventure Serve was the recipient of a portable Putt-Putt golf course and since it’s Masters Tournament weekend, I thought we’d have a golf championship of our own!  Bring family and friends, your own picnic lunch, and perhaps an outdoor chair if you don’t prefer picnic tables or wooden chairs (see pics below).  We will get started at 11:30Am… Read More »Spring Network Gathering – April 10

Good Friday Network Gathering

We will host a Good Friday worship and reflection gathering at the Prayer Room on Broadway in Lexington KY on Good Friday (April 10) at 7 pm!
